EDF Energy Integration
Connect your EDF Energy account to automatically import your tariff rates, including FreePhase Dynamic half-hourly pricing.
Features
- Automatic import of current tariff rates
- FreePhase Dynamic half-hourly pricing updates
- Standard Variable and fixed tariff support
- EV off-peak tariff rate tracking
- Historical pricing data
- Smart charging optimisation based on EDF rates
Requirements
- 1.An active EDF Energy account
- 2.An EDF API key (available in your online account)
- 3.Your EDF account number (found on your bills)
Setup Instructions
1Find your API key
Log in to your EDF Energy online account at edfenergy.com. Navigate to Account Settings and look for the API Access section. If you do not see this option, contact EDF support to request API access for your account.
2Find your account number
Your EDF account number can be found on any paper or online bill, or in the Account Overview section of your online account.
3Connect in OhmMy
Go to Settings > Energy Provider > EDF Energy. Enter your API key and account number, then click "Connect EDF Energy". OhmMy will verify the connection and automatically detect your tariff.
4Check your tariff
Once connected, your current tariff will appear under Connected Tariffs on the Energy Provider settings page. If you are on FreePhase Dynamic, OhmMy will begin fetching half-hourly prices automatically.
Important Notes
- EDF Energy uses the Kraken platform (the same technology that powers Octopus Energy), so the setup process is very similar.
- If you are on the FreePhase Dynamic tariff, prices are updated half-hourly and OhmMy will use these to optimise your battery charging automatically.
- Your API key is encrypted before storage and is never accessible in plain text.
- This integration is read-only — OhmMy reads your tariff data but does not make any changes to your EDF account.
